New pics
Thanks Bran, I think my son and daughter-in-law thought I was funny as I kept saying "look at me, I'm walking without stopping" "this is easy" They knew why I was so excited. It was great. Before I would have taken 30 minutes to get up that hill if I could have made it. Probably would have fallen when trying to go down the hill before WLS, then an ambulance could have taken me back up!
You will get there. How are your surgery plans coming along? Julia
My plans are moving right along. I had my sleep study this week, and next week I drive to Portland to do my psych evaluation, meet with the dietician, nutriutionist over a 2 day span. After that, I am assuming that it will be submitted to my insurance company for approval. So, it is slowly becoming a reality.
I decided to do the lapband. Just feels right for me....
Hi Linda, Yes I have come a long way but tiny I am not. (but thanks anyway) I hear that all the time but I am still a size 18 on the top and a 14/16 on bottom. I guess it is camoflaged!! That is a good thing. About 17 more pounds then I will try to maintain and hopefully have a TT and breast reduction next summer/fall. Then maybe "tiny"!!
How is everything going with you? Your back must be better I hope. We must have another get to gether in Eugene so we can all see each other again. I have missed that. Summers are busy however. I am going to Portland this weekend for the third weekend in a row, 4 out of the last 5 weeks. I am getting a new car tomorrow (not new but 2006) Can't wait.
Hope to see you soon. Julia
Julia - you've done it!! Just compare your old picture to the one standing on the street of Seattle, and you can tell your life is so changed! Seattle is where I went for a weekend just prior to surgery, and I just died on those exact hills. Our hotel was at the top of one, and after shopping down in the big shopping district, we walked back. I thought I was gonna die....and took so many sit down breaks. I remember it really making me upset that day. I felt so old and unable to enjoy along with my family.
You are walking on a cloud for a good reason - you look and feel great! Congratulations!
