I made it to ONEDERLAND!

7 1/2 months after WLS, I have reached "onederland" for the first time in over 18 years!  I thought it was a fluke so I waited until the demonic scales (which I'm beginning to not hate so much) said the same thing for a few days before announcing my big news :).  It has been such a long, crazy journey and all I can say now is that my husband better watch out because I am completely in love with Dr. Read .  He gave me the tool to get my livelyhood back and live a full active life.  I've been walking 2 miles every night and am starting to consider making an appointment for a plastic surgery consult.  I would like to get the tummy taken care of and get the girls back up where they are supposed to be.  But for now, some control top panties and a wonder bra are good enough!  TMI for some, but it's all part of this incredible transformation. Eating is still a daily struggle, don't get me wrong, I don't get sick at all.  But if I can get in 3-4 oz/3 times a day, I'm doing good.  I feel great, have energy and my hair loss seems to be slowing so everything is just as it should be. I'm just happy to be here (and in ONEDERLAND)! Vicki

Wow Vicki, that is just SO awesome! I can't wait to join you in Onederland some day! Congratulations on your amazing success, and thanks for inspiring those of us who are earlier in the process.

Schmeesa, You are doing awesome girl!  I just looked at your profile and you seem to be doing great, keep up the good work and when you reach a plateau, don't get too depressed, I hated it when the weight loss slowed down to a crawl, then stopped...it started again, but it was kind of disheartening for a while :).

Wow Vicki!  You have done so well.  I'm already saving up for the plastics.  Heck -- I look like I need it now.  I can only imagine what things will look like a year from now.  I hope I have a little easier time with eating as things go on.  It took me 2.5 hours to down a protein shake yesterday!  The yogurt and applesauce was a little easier to do, but I think it's a lot less protein. Keep up the good work! Linda

Geez Linda, you are only 3 days out!  You must be feeling okay if you are on here :).  My surgeon doesn't like us to do protein shakes, so I never had to do that, but really things have went very well and it will go good for you too! I can eat, just old habits die really hard and I want to eat more than my tummy allows.  I'm never hungry so that isn't the issue, its still just a mental thing. Congrats on being on the losers side!
