Salem Support Group

Hi there!  I am interested in meeting with a support group in Salem of those who didn't have their surgery at Salem Hospital.  I know there used to be one but I was unable to attend at the time.  I need to get back on track and could use the input these meetings provide.  Also, is there a clothing exchange in the area?  Thanks Nancy

Hi back,  I am looking for the same thing. Sorry, I don' t have any answers for you, but thought I would tag along on this request. I'm also interested in the clothing exchange. I have tons of stuff in various sizes, you know, saved for "when I get skinny again". Needless to say, it is several years and multiple sizes worth of accumulation!!!!!   Martha

Hi there Nancy! There is a very small group of us who will be meeting on Wednesday, July 18 at 7:00 at the Starbucks in West Salem, next to Roths.  We are meeting informally to discuss whatever anyone wants to talk about and also to see if we can find a regular meeting time and location. You are more than welcome to come ... we'd love to have you there!  We are a small group of people but we are very nice and welcoming.  We'd love to meet you!  Anyone else is welcome to come too! Hi there Martha!!! I'm so sorry you missed our meeting ... we would have loved to meet you! Our group meets only once a month ... we are aiming for the 3rd Wednesday evening of every month.  We are a small group of people who are in various stages of surgery.  We are all very "normal" people and accepting of anyone!  So we'd love to have new people join us! I will post when I find out when the next meeting will be in August.  I hope you can join us!!! Deanna  :)

There is a Salem Support group that meets every other Tuesday night at 6:30 pm at the Salem Hospital. The rooms swich around a little, but were usually in COM Bldg. Rm 1C. Our next meeting is 7/24/07 at the Salem Hospital Rm !C in the COM bldg. I am the facilitator and would be glad to help. We are the non Salem Hospital support group and all are welcome including all types of bariatic surgery such as lap band, gastric, duedenal swich, ect.  Thanx-Heather
