Plastic Surgeons/prices???

Hello everyone! I'm just curious if anyone out there has had plastic surgery that they've had to pay for on their own?  What type of surgery did you have done?  And may I ask how much it cost?  Also, who was your surgeon? My extra skin is taking over my body!  I've lost 145 pounds and am now maintaining.  I need the most severe work done on my abdomen and a breast reduction.  I really need something done with my inner thighs, and my upper arms are last on my list.   Anyway,  I would greatly appreciate any information you could share with me on your experience being self pay and what surgeons you went with! Congratulations on your terrific weight loss.  I'm a year out and nearing 100 lbs.  My extra skin is taking over too, but I'm not finished with the weight loss yet, so I'll just have to put up with it.  Anyway, enough about me. As to your question might I suggest that you check out Dr. Bruce Carter.  He's over by the Salem Hospital and has done work for many.  He has a website: www.bcartermd.com  Its a place to start and also check with Salem Hospital to see which Drs in the area practice there. Pricing depends on the Dr I think but they are all pretty much the same.  It just takes some ground work.  I know it is expensive and some Drs. have financing available with companies which might help.  Good luck with your search and I hope this helps.  Nancy

HI Deanna,  I always love seeing your picture ! You look amazing !  I had plastic surgery in December did reasearch and met with several Dr's. I was self pay and went with Julianna Hasen at OSHU wellness center on the water front. She was rated amoung the top 10 plastic surgeons in portland in 2006 and 2007.  I had a tummy tuck, photos are on my profile.  She removed 5lb of skin and the  cost was just under $5000.00 Good luck and if you have any questions let me know !
