Southern Oregon Bariatrics Clinic???

Doing research...Anyone have anything to say about the Sourthern Oregon Bariatrics Clinic in Medford? Going to a seminiar July 11. Would like to hear from someone who has personal knowledge of the clinic and doctors there. I am interested in the Lap Band. Kandy

Kandy, I posted on your "guilt anyone" topic about Southern Oregon Bariatrics.  They are pretty good.  My friend had an RNY with them a year ago and has lost over 100 pounds.  Dr. Street is one of the surgeons, who is also well known in Medford for his surgery skills, and now he also does bariatric surgery.  You may want to check out Dr. Mirande in Klamath Falls also. i live in medford found klamath falls not only saves you alot of money they also offer the lap band i had sent some emails that  werent returned so i went to klammath and love dr mirande it was a great choice and his staff is great

Leilani So many of you have said so many nice things about Dr. Mirande. I went to his seminar in Medford last night. He was very good. Answered my questions. I have made my decision. I will be sending  my forms  very soon. Thank you for responding. Kandy

Kandy, you won't go wrong with Dr. Mirande.  Very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and absolutely knows his stuff.  I felt the staff at the hospital was very knowledgable and helpful as well.  Have you decided on the lapband or the RNY?  Either way he will be there with you all the way.  Julia

Dr. Mirande is awesome. If insurance isn't paying, the lap band is a great way to go as the cost has just been reduced to 10,000. I love my doc!

Sweet Thinker ...Went to a seminar last night in Medford with Dr MIrande....Yes he is very nice and informative. I had done alot of my own research but he added to it. So many of the forum participants have written that Dr MIrande is very thorough and personable. He also seems to know his business. I will fill out the papers and send them in and get this thing going. I was floating in the pool today and made my final decision. I have 20 real good years left, 10 more if my genetics are with me, I want to spend them thinner so I can do the things I like to do..The things I did when I was thinner. All of you on this forum have helped greatly in my research. Thank you. Kandy

Your postings included Bay Bariatrics in Coos Bay, and Southern Oregon Bariatrics...Which clinic did you choose and why? I am looking for a lap band surgeon in a similar area and thought you might save me some time and research. Tracy
