hiatal hernia repair?

I am scheduled for vertical sleeve in one month - yippee ----  I have a hiatal hernia and am considering having it repaired at the same time - repair done with a "mesh".   I'm looking for anyone having had hiatal hernia repair along with VSG for their feedback. Thank you in advance :)  L.

Did you try over on the VSG forum?  There may be a few VSG folks here, but I think we're mostly RNY and Lap Band. Linda

I just now figured out the vsg forum and posted there.  I thought you had to go by location ~~ I'm learning... yes learning LOTS on this site it is wonderful wonderful the support and info and stories to learn from.  thanks all :) L.  

Hi, I had an rny ,and I also had the hiatal hernia repaired, The Dr. did an excellant job and said something about making a mesh with pig skin. I,m fine and feel so much better now that it has been repaired.Goodluck with your surgery . Jo Ann
