WOW Joy!  I checked out your profile and you have done so well!!  I'm so excited, as it looks like you started out about where I am and you've gone where I want to go.  How tall are you?  I'm 5'7"  I hope I manage to get similar results.  I'm willing to work hard for it. God bless you! Linda

Dear Joy, You have been such a source of support and friendship for all of us here in Oregon.  We are lucky to have stole you from California!!  I think the timing was rather perfect - that you were able to start off you and Joe's retirement with this new lease on life.  Jeez...wearing cute dresses and now riding horses.  We may have to hold you back from the rock climbing and those dance clubs! I know you share my deep gratitude for this chance to live life without the pain and health woes that came with our obesity.  Gettin old is hard enough.  It is also so much less scary going into it at a "normal" weight. Hi Patty! Thank you for your kind words.  I feel like I'm not on the forum as much as I used to be.  I guess that we start living our new lives and get busy.  Yes, I definitely share your gratitude for this chance and I am always aware that I need to reinforce the "program" in order to stay fit and healthy. Joy you look wonderful!!  My surgery is scheduled for Friday  JULY 27th.  I am nervous and excited.  I also am hoping to someday ride a bike again.  Rhonda
