Hi all! I just thought that I would check in and tell you that today is the second anniversary of my GBS!!! I am at goal and haven't regained any weight.  I feel so fortunate to have been given this second chance at life. I bought a bicycle the other day and have plans to do a little horseback riding soon.  My life has changed dramatically and I am eternally grateful!  Thanks to all of you who supported me through this process.  I wish you all the best! ...And then the day came, when remaining tight in a bud was more painful than allowing myself to bloom.

Joy - Thank you for writing about your "surgiversary" tonight.  It's so exciting to ready that you have been able to keep the weight off.  Congratulations.  You have written about two of my favorite things to do; ride a bicycle and horseback ride!  I haven't gotten on a horse in years, only because of my weight.  I'd love to go horseback riding someday again!  Your post is very inspiring!  Thanks!

Thanks!  Okay, so we will have a horseback riding date when you reach goal!  I was always afraid that I would break the poor horse's back! Joy

Joy,  It is so wonderful to hear that you are keeping the weight off.  That is really my ultimate goal, keeping it off.  I am 14 1/2 months out and continuing to lose but at a slower pace of course.  I want to lose 21 more pounds then the really hard part of keeping it off starts.    Take a bow, you deserve it!!   Julia

Thanks much, Julia! The slow losses are just as important as the fast ones.  Keep up the good work! Joy
