Bay Bariatric a New Center of Excellence for Blue Cross

Great news, Bay Bariatrics just became a Center of Excellence for Blue Cross. 

Does this mean the prices will be going up?  Do you know? Lori

Lori, Bay Bariatrics is not planning on raising their prices.  Our Lap Band fee is still $10,000 and bypass is  $24,300.  Dr. Tersigni is committed to his patients and wants to keep the prices as low as possible.

That's great!  I had heard a rumor that the price had been reduced to get patients in the door so he could get the COE.  I could see that being the case.  I know my insurance company paid more than that (on paper, anyway) for my surgery but if I happened to be self-pay I would have been down there in a heartbeat. Is that the same as a Blue Distinction Center for Blue Cross?

Hi, I am very new to this website and WSL informations as well. Is that BLue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon? My husband is changing jobs and that will be our new insurance. I was trying to figure out how to get information on WLS and what Blue Cross will pay for.
