Hmmm - I don't know how things work at Legacy.  I had my consultation with the NP at OHSU in February (late).  I had several tests that needed to be done after that -- sleep study and cardiology.  My pre-op with my surgeon is June 25th and my surgery will be July 24th.  I suppose your date could be sooner if you don't have a bunch of tests to go through.  Is there someone (like the scheduler) at Legacy you could call to ask about timing? I have done all my testing- sleep ap an all- blood test etc- So far I have NOT been impressed with Legacy and the wait times- it is really un-acceptable- they just lost a Dr. and to me- you would think they would hire another- but I will continue to wait-arg!  Legacy has you do all your testin FIRST- before you meet the Dr. then have a preop class- then surgery- they told me I would find out more at this July 2nd appt- but I am just eager!

after you see Dr Jan they will get all the results from the tests your PCP and send it to the insurnace company. once they get the approval they will schedule the surgery. The girl that does the scheduling is not there full time so it may take a week to get it scheduled and then it depends on how booked he is. Because Dr Hong left they may be a little backed up. By the way you will Love Dr Jan

It took me almost two months back in 2005 when they were better staffed (and less people were having surgery)... Lori
