Insurance Approval Wooohooo

I am sooooo excited.  I just called my insurance company and they told me that I was approved for wls.  It has been almost a year since I went to the original orientation.  It took forever to lose the weight the insurance company required.  I should hear from the surgeon's office next week to get scheduled.

Congratulations!  It took me almost a year too.  My first information session was last August.  I'll have surgery July 24th! Linda

That's great for you!  Who are you thinking of having do your surgery since Dr. Hong left?  Are you just going to pick whoever has an opening sooner? Lori

Thanks Everyone!  Lori, I just found out from a co-worker that Dr. Hong is leaving.  I will probably choose Dr. Jan.  A few of my co-workers had him and said he was excellent.  I haven't met anyone who had Dr. Patterson yet.  Have you heard anything about her?

I've met her but Dr. Jan and Dr. Hong were the two I saw with Dr. Jan being the most often (obviously). It seems that all of their personalities are about the same, though.  I'm sure they're both equally as good and qualified.  I'm also pretty certain the wait for Dr. Patterson is still longer than the others.  I'm sure they're planning on replacing Dr. Hong, too.  So, if you're willing to go for a replacement, maybe someone will be in place shortly. Yipee!!  I will always remember standing in the aisle at the store and my cell phone rang.  It was my approval and I was so excited!  My advice is take the first opening.  I just LOVE Dr. Hong...and I have forgiven him for moving back to Canada.  When I had my surgery he was the new kid on the block and his calendar was wide open.  Dr. Patterson would have been months.  Dr. Jan has a great reputation, and anyone they bring in to replace Dr. Hong will be very good, because Dr. Patterson would never work with anyone less than excellent.  Good luck!
