I saw Dr Gorrin and the ulcer is NOT bleeding. The blood count is normal and the rectal exam (oh yes they are pleasant) was fine and no blood. This is great news, so the ulcer must be healing up. He wants me to stay on the carafate and prilosec to finish the healing process.

Thank goodness Kim! I had some irritation showing in my EGD test, so I've been on Prilosec ever since. I didn't want anything messing up my surgery. Linda

Kim - This is very good news - I have been wondering how your doing. How did they discover the ulcer in the first place? I am not sure if I could tell if my stomach is healing or if this strange feeling I have is an ulcer??? Just curious. Take care!!!
