A HUGE THANK YOU!!

 I am a new member to these boards and I have just discovered the most fantastic group of people.  I attended my first support group meeting today, held at Kim G's home.  It was so great for me to be able to talk with woman in all stages of WLS.  It was nice to not feel ashamed of how I looked and the encouragement to follow my heart.  It was extremely difficult for me to attend, as I am somewhat shy and well, admitting that I need help with my weight.  I was welcomed with open arms.....and for that  I am grateful.   I am looking forward to my weight loss journey, especially knowing that I have a support system already in place.   Again, thanks Kim for hosting this get together.  I am already looking forward to the next one.  Brandon

Bran,  it was a great get together wasn't it.  So glad you came.  I hope we were a help to you.  You noticed, I am sure, that we do like to talk about "us", our experiences etc. !!                 Julia

You are too sweet, Brandon.  I am so glad you came today and that you enjoyed yourself.  We are all a great bunch of women.  I agree that it is great to speak with people in lots of different stages of their journey.  We get together once a month usually.  See you next month hopefully!

And you have your doubts?!?  Of course we're all wonderful in our own ways.  Now we'll just have to get you up to Portland for one of OUR get-togethers! Lori
