Wow moment

On my way to Kim's today, I stopped by Catherines.  The only thing I could find to buy was a T-shirt and 2 pair of panties.  I think I have gone there my last time as most all the clothes are too large for me!!!   I can actually go to the regular size misses sections in stores now.  Hard to get my mind around that, but will do it I am sure.  I was really happy to have Catherines to go to as for several years,  I could not buy clothes in Roseburg and had to travel to Eugene and Catherines or go naked and that would really not be good.  Still isn't!!!        Julia

That is so cool, Julia.  I can relate ... I picked a size Large dress out of Trisha's box of clothes.  I thought well it will eventually fit.  It was so cute, I grabbed it anyway.  I tried it on tonight and IT FITS NOW!!  OMG I am wearing a size LARGE!!! It was funny too because I was looking at a pink dress that I really liked, it was a size 22.  Nancy said it was not gonna fit, it would be too big.  Well, Nancy, YOU WERE RIGHT.  It is too big!!  I'll probably wear it anyway cause it's cute.  lol

That is great Kim.  You got to Trisha's box before I did!!  I don't remember when I last wore a dress, but plan to do it soon.  Julia

That pink dress would be a great color on you.  It IS meant to be a swing dress, but I think Nancy was correct.  Still, you could get a couple of wearings out of it before passing it on. Thank you SOOOO much for your hospitality.  I really enjoyed meeting you all and look forward to seeing you in the future.  We'll definately do a BBQ here later this summer, OK?  We'll get the northerners and the southerners together!! Aw, you guys are GREAT!  I had a wonderful time meeting you all and was only too glad to bring down the box of clothing.  I'm becoming a "clothes horse", but still shop at a huge resale/consignment shop here in town to get my "bargains". Julia, I think I used to LIVE at Catherines.  The last time I was in there was a year ago and the sales clerk (who knew me well since I practically lived there...) told me I was too thin for Catherines now and she was correct.  It was definately a WOW moment. OK, so here is another secret of mine for low cost shopping.... Coldwater Creek online clearance.  For instance right now in the clearance center things are marked 40-70% off.  If you spend $100 there is also an online coupon for $25.  So....potentially you could get about $250. of clothing for about $75. There are other times when they have even deeper discounts as well.  I would often times calculate my approx size for the coming season (see a lot of the stuff on discount right now is winter/spring) and purchase accordingly.  So if you are a size 14 now you should plan on a size 12 for fall.  It worked GREAT and it always made me look like I had spent a fortune when in reality I hadn't. Julia, that is soooooo cool!  You won't be shopping there anymore my friend! I have been getting Lane Bryant and Roaman's catalogs and just tossing them in the recycling ... I love that I don't need to order from them anymore!   Embrace all these moments and relish them ... they are glorious! Deanna  :)
