Sternum pain

I am 3 months post-op. I had the lap-band procedure. About a month ago and again last night I was woken up with sternum pain.It is a constant dull pain, and lasts 30-45 minutes. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen? And if you know what causes it.  Thanks

I did not have the lap band but I would day anytime you have pain tell your Dr! we all have read the post from those of us who had some weard pain and it ended up to  be something. If its nothing then no harm no foul right!

Suzabelle, you need to get ahold of Dr. P!  That's not a normal pain to experience.  It is also difficult to diagnose and, technically, something I shouldn't do anyway.  It could be anything from heartburn to a small band slip.  If it is a slip, the sooner it is addressed the easier it will be to fix (and less likely to require any additional surgery). You could have even pulled a muscle somehow. Also, be sure to check out the lap band forum, too!  There can be a lot of help there, too!
