What is this weird feeling I have?

Hi everyone - So, I am 9 days out, at this point.  I can't tell if I am full or hungry.  I basically feel the same at the beginning and the end of every meal.  I feel the same when I wake up in the morning and go to bed at night.  I can't tell if I am eating enough or not.  It's all such a weird feeling to me.  I haven't been sick or nauseated.  I feel nervous about eating too much, for fear of stretching my pouch, but I can easily put away a 6 oz yogurt in about an hours time.  Is this normal?  Am I eating too much?  I feel so clueless.  I read from so many that they can't eat at all and get nauseated.  According to my daughters my pouch is just a curve between the esophogus and the intestines, because they made it smaller for faster weight loss (because of the risk factors of needing to get the weight off quickly).  Any help or response would be very helpful! Gayla,  You need to check with you surgeon or dietician about how much you should be eating.  Each one is different.  Mine  says to eat the recommended amount OR what you can comfotably eat in about 20 to 30 minutes.  If you spread that out over an hour---you are prbably grazing.  However Yogurt is close to a liquid so you can probably eat more of it than solid foods.  Wait until you start adding chicken, beef or fish and see how little you can eat at first!!  Julia

Julia, I have decided to re-read all of my instructions on what to eat, how often and etc.  I was just sent an email that suggested that the eating schedule should look something like 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 5 pm, and 8 pm.  That is something I can live with.  IT just feels like I am eating all of the time!  You are right about the yogurt.  I could eat that whole 6 oz cup, but I absolutely couldn't come close to eating that many potatoes!  I am learning.... Hey Gayla, I'm happy to see you posting. Did you make it back home or are you still with your daughter? How are you feeling. I know what you mean about not knowing what your feeling. That does start to go away. I'm over  3 weeks out now and I can tell when I'm hungary and I only eat what I'm support to my 1-2 oz at a time so I think I know full LOL. Sounds like your doing everything right. Don't worry so much at this liquid faze because the stuff is not staying in your stomach long. Know that I can eat refried beans and stuff I can tell the food is just sitting there  and you feel the full felling. Hang in there! Keep me posted, I'm thinking about you! Rebecca
