I am looking for anyone's experiences with kaiser.  I met with my dr in december.  Took the 12 week class, filled out the questionaire, and am waiting... Am I going to be asked to lose a bunch of wt before hand??

I have Kaiser insurance and am having Rny surgery on June 4th.  The process usually takes about 9-18 months.  Alot of appoinments and group orientation classes.  You have to lose 10 percent of your body weight.  They also are real big on food and excersise journals.  Write in them everyday, they will be checking them.  It may  be a long process, but it is worth it.   Good luck and take care. Sarah is on here and she had surgery with Kaiser in a month or 2 ago. Kaiser NW at this time only does open RNY. They have lots of hoops to go thru but they want to create the best basis for us to succeed. I am in the program and proceeding thru the hoops right now. I too completed the 12 week program and I am waiting for the orientation class. Then hopefully moving forward thru all the other appts and test/doctor approvals. Good Luck Carrie!!! You will do really well, because youhave such a great attitude about life!!
