Just touching base about the gathering next weekend.  I'm thinking we can start gathering around 2:30 or so on Sunday for the BBQ.  Again, everyone is invited.  We love meeting new people, especially new postops or those contemplating surgery.  So, if you are lurking and just need some encouragement to come on out ... well that is what this is.  Come and meet us ... we are a fun bunch of people.  It is so great to meet a bunch of people who know exactly what we are going through.  We are all at different stages in our journey, from preop to newly postop, to months out, at goal, getting ready for plastics, and having had plastics completed.  That is what is so great about our group ... we are from all over the State too ... some are coming down from Portland, from the coast, coming up from Roseburg, Creswell, Cottage Grove, and elsewhere. So specifics about the BBQ . . . . Below is a list of things that I thought would be great to bring and maybe you guys could respond with what you would like to bring and I will keep a master list.  Then towards the end of the week, I will post again with who is bringing what and if there are other things needed, if there are last minute responders, there will be things for them to bring too. If anyone has a BBQ grill they could bring, that would be great too.  I have a pretty big grill but could definitely use another one if we have lots of people coming.  Everyone also needs to bring lawn chairs as I do not have enough for everyone.  Please feel free to bring family too.  I want this to be a fun family gathering. Hamburger Patties Chicken Turkey Dogs (or something similar) Veggie Trays Fruit Trays Potato Salad Green Salad Deviled Eggs Tuna or Chicken Salad If you can think of any others that would be good or would like to bring a SF desert, that would be great too.  Just let me know what you'd like to bring.  Anyone who needs directions and/or my address/phone number, just shoot me a PM.

Hope to see you all next Sunday afternoon.

Ohhh, SO not worth dumping!!!  No I think I'll make a chocolate cheesecake.  One piece has 16 grams of protein!!!  and only 7 grams of carb.    Gosh one could "live" on it!!! Trisha

I'm hoping to be there too.  Maybe I could bring a tuna salad?  I'm having a bit of difficulty getting around.  I decided to get the holiday weekend chores out of the way first thing, so when I got off work early on Friday I mowed and weed-whacked the front yard.  I was preparing to move to the back yard, rolling up the extension chord, and stepped back to get a better angle on the reel.  I tripped on the lawn mower and fell right on top of it!  I have a huge red welt right in the center of my back at the base of my spine.  I had to go to the doctor today because I couldn't stand the pain any more.  If it's not better in a few days, they'll do some x-rays.  In the meanwhile, I have some pain meds and need to stay on the couch with an ice pack!  It's always something, isn't it.  Getting old really stinks sometimes!
