SURGERY JUNE 5TH
There are a lot of us that have had surgery and have kids. I had RNY in Dec with a 8 month old at the time. I was super worried and over stressed. YOU ARE NORMAL!!!!
Just think about how much better your and your kids life is going to be when you are healthier and much more active due to the weight loss... it truely is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
Also remember
YOU DESERVE THIS!!!!
keep up your spirits up. This is the hardest part (waiting and wondering) but it will be great!

I am having Rny on June 4th. Although I havent had the surgery yet I find myself getting more nervous by the day. When I start to second guess myself I remember what I want out of life for me my kids and my husband. It reminds me why I made this decision in the first place. I want quality of life and quantity also. Keep your chin up and remember why you made the decision to have this surgery. Your making a positive change for yourself and your family. I will pray for you. Take care,
Carrie
I don't have children, but I can tell you that it is perfectly normal to be worried and a little stressed before any kind of surgery. However, you are doing this for your health an wellbeing, which means you are also doing it for your children. You will be around a lot longer and will be able to be a much more active part of their lives once your health improves. You are doing the right thing, both for you and them. Hang in there!

Leilani...first off I love that name and there is a very well known Leilani here on OH who lost over 300 lbs and looks FABULOUS! *smile*
I wasn't nervous for the RNY, but I sure was for my recent PS for removal of excess skin. It's normal and natural to be nervous. Don't second guess yourself. You made a decision FOR your health and well being. The decision will be shared by your family as will the bennefits. So what might those be?
1) Longer life to enjoy the family
2) Better quality of life
3) Increased self esteem which too will have a positive effect on all around you
4) Better health
5) The ability to keep up with your children
6) I hate to say this one....but your children will be proud of you as they get older. They won't be ashamed to have a parent who is obese. Kids get "wierd" about just about EVERYTHING having to do with their parents, but this is one that affects their self esteem too.
So go for it Leilani! The goal is in sight!!! Come join us on the loser's bench on the 5th and know that you are making your life better. You are a loser who WINS the golden ring!

thanks i loved it..i sure needed that..you look great you must be proud..you are right about the kids they r like that..my sons friend said he had a fat mom..i was devasted..its okay i will take him out to the park in a few years and know that i am a much healthier mom, although it hurt children don't think about that and i dont want my son to ever have to deal with that again..so i saw the personal trainer thing..is it costly to have a trainer?
