Surgery is 5/18...what to take & have at home....
Good luck! You've got a great surgeon!
That being said, I didn't read the other posts so I don't know how my information relates.
I didn't take much to the hospital and used even less of what I did bring. On the slippers part, make sure they're the type you slip on -- not have to bend over to put on correctly 'cause you won't be able to do that.
If you're on CPAP you need to bring your machine and mask to the hospital, too.
The little kid thing? I think I'd hold off. They'll miss you when you leave the first time but coming and going and doing the visiting thing -- I think it will be hard for them to comprehend why mommy isn't coming home. Also, if one of them starts to fall or something, you're more likely to react without thinking and possibly hurt yourself. It'll be more difficult for you than for them. Hopefully your pain meds will let you not worry too much about them and allow yourself time to heal.
Also, since i had lap band I don't have all the answers. Did anyone say you needed a heating pad? With lap band we rely on it.
