I'm sorry to hear your news. I know it's disappointing to have to put off the surgery, but you will do just fine. I hope you can keep a good attitude during your treatment and know that you can kick this thing! Hugs to you.

Sheryl, We met at the Mcminville support group and talked after the meeting. Take the next few months to kick the Cancer's butt and then you can get back on track for the surgery. I know that there have been others who have had the surgery after Cancer, so don't give up hope. My thoughts and prayers are with you! Jenny

I want to thank everyone for the support you are giving me through this. It is very hard to deal with this after doing all of the hard work to get ready for wls. I know I will beat this and come back swinging. I feel angry and frustrated. It will take me some time to calm down. Right now I am trying really hard to not eat everything in sight. Which is something I have done to deal with stress. So please keep me in your prayers. Believe me I need them. I will be going in for surgery to get more of the cancer out on 5-23-07 . And this week on thursday I go see the oncologist to get set up with my radiation treatment. Love to all of you. Sheryl

Sheryl, the treatments will be over before you know it. And all of the pre-op testing and stuff made the timing perfect. It may not have saved your life from obesity but, clearly, it has saved your life. Good luck and know that you have my support. Any time you need anything, just let me know. Lori

As all the posts prior to mine have stated, I, too, am truly sorry for your recent diagnosis. You are obviously a strong, determined lady to go through all the pre-op WLS hoops, so use that strength and determination to fight this fight!!! Know that lot's of prayers are being said for you, all over Oregon!!! Jana
