Anyone Using EAS Whey Protien from Costco?

Hi everyone - I have been using EAS Whey Protien, and getting it from Costco in those big 6 lb bags. I buy both the chocolate and the vanilla. I like both of them, and have really been having fun learning to make smoothies. However, I just read a post on another forum about someone who is 1 week after surgery that isn't losing weight. My immediate thought is that maybe her protien is too high in sugar (because I read that on another forum also). So, that makes me question my choice of protien also...especially since I actually like the taste of it! Has anyone read the nurtitional label on the back of the EAS Whey Protien from Costco? It says it has 2 sugars - they are natural, not added and are from the Whey. Is that okay? HELP!!! I would really appreciate a response. Gesch

Gayla - the sugars in Whey Protein are lactose - Whey is made from milk, so they are natural sugars. I did buy the EAS protein at Costco, but had to take it back because it also contains soy protein and I am highly allergic to it. I need something that is totally whey. Freddie and I found a good source at the vitamin shop in the outlet mall in Lincoln City. Since we like to go to the coast alot, it will be no problem to keep stocked up. Linda P.S. - I would assume that the person who is not losing has more issues than just the sugars in their protein preventing the weight loss. It's always convenient to find something to blame it on!

I "eat" both the chocloate and vanilla. I like them and without the powder I would never have made my weight loss goal as quickly as I did. I lost 13lbs in a little over a month and a half. I am getting myself ready with a powder that I like for after surgery. I think that sugar issue isn't really an issue at all. EAS was the brand my NUT told me to try. Hope this helps. Dre

Thank you - It helps alot. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't chosing a protien powder that wasn't good for me. I have seen other options, but they aren't easy to obtain, and I have to have some place that is easy for me to access to pick things up. It's not because I am lazy, but rather that sometimes I am embarassed to get out in front of a lot of people that I am not comfortable around...and I can "hide" in Costco fairly easy. I hope to overcome this after I lose some weight.
