I guess I should be happy
Linda,
I'm so glad you finally have a date!!! Yes, that is frustrating that it is so far out, but I hope there will be a cancelation that will allow you to move ahead with it sooner. It is difficult to say that the time will fly, but it will. I'm already counting down the time to my "next" procedure and I just finished my TT and breast lift 3 weeks ago . I guess that is human nature. I know with myself that I have a LOT to do before next November for phase II of the remodeling job. I must lose some additional weight, build my endurance back up and work hard to build leg and arm musculature.
You too can look at this 3 months as time of prep so that the outcome will be great. You can start by eliminating foods from your home that won't be to your best bennefit after surgery, walk, walk, walk to build endurance, build some additional leg and arm support to help you manuver after surgery and take healthy doses of vitamins for your immune system. You have a LOT to do before hand.
And of course....we are here for you to vent to
Trisha
Thanks Tricia - I helps to look at it from a preparation standpoint. My house is pretty empty of tempting foods. My partner Freddie moved in with me two weeks ago, and he had RNY in January. We don't have a lot of forbidden stuff around. I'll work on the exercise. I'm already down 24 pounds from initial weigh in, so hopefully, I'll be super ready when the time comes.
Linda
Linda, I can understand your disappointment. However, look on the bright side - if you work hard at that 1200 calorie hig protien low fat diet, you might be able to take a little more fat off your liver - and from what Rebecca Caldwell says, that is a very good thing. I wished I would have lost more weight!
I am excited that you have a surgery date and please don't let it get you down - just hang in here and it will be here before you know it! I know the time has gone faster than I expected it to go! Stay in touch!
