Now I'm in line,consult coming up

Hi every one, I just got my call for the consult with Dr. Patterson. I think they must be really bogged down. My appt will be on the 31st of May ,at that time they will tell me the sugery date. I started this trip,by going to the seminar in Jan. so it does take a long time ,to get every thing done. The only way to keep it going on track is to make sure all test have been faxed to the people on your Check Out Slip. This is the one they give you after you have had your appt. with the nurse practitoner, nutritionest ,physical Theripist and the Psychologist.All there phone #s are on there too,so you can call for information,like have they recieved your paper work from the Drs.that they wanted you to go to. Like the gastroinologist,Sleep center, heart Dr. etc. So good luck to all going before me,we'll all be on the losing side soon Jo Ann

They must be bogged down. I went to the meeting in april. I've gotten all the paperwork in so that means a long wait for that first call.. I went last night for a sleep study I had one afew months ago and couldn't go to sleep so they said I had to have another so I figured I would need one any way so I wold just get it out of the way. Well I never went into remsleep so this one dosen't count either. My oxygen dropped to 80% so now I have to sleep with oxygen on. My daughter has a date of June 5th I am so excited for her. She has been trying to get me to have it done I thought I was to OLD but since I have been on here I decided maybe not I'm just so excited. I tried to get it done 6 yrs ago and the insurance said a flat NO!.When I called this time they said yes what a surprise. Now I want it like yesterday. My sister is really up set we have fought the fat togather all our lives every pill doctor, weight loss clinic,weigh****cher class in town. One time she had to drag me up a flight of stairs me huffing and puffing because I couldn't get my breath. yeah it didn't stay off that time either. Judy A West Linn

Hi Joann I got your e mails seems like I keep runnig and getting nowhere!!!!! I have three kids that keep me on the go. I was a medical foster parent for 10 years and adopted 3 of them seemed like such a good idea 12 years ago lol!!! My husband passed away 4yrs ago so it's been a hard road at times but I love them to death and I don't know what I would do with out them . This is why I have to get this weight off so I can keep up with them We have dirt bikes. I have a quad just to try to keep up. NOT' We do alot of riding in the coast range. I also have 4 bio kids they are all adults (well age wise.) Well lets hope the line gets to movin. If you get to Portland let me know we could meet somewhere Judy A West Linn

It's exciting to have the consult with the doctor. We asked important questions, but then at the end, my daughter had a few questions like" What do you play music during surgery, and if so, what kind? And finally Is there anyway that you can make my mom's incisions shaped like a butterfly, we are planning her tattoo around it. Poor Dr. Deveney had to look up at her to make sure she was just kidding with him...we all had a great laugh about it! PS, this daughter is 36 years old! Gayla
