Dr. Steven Tersigni

Has anyone used Dr.Tersigni? I received some info on him and his clinic and I was looking for some feedback. Thanks, Brandy

Hi Brandy, I just had my new patient exam with Dr. T and his staff yesterday and have a lap-band surgery date of May 18th. I live in Portland and am self-pay so, even though it's a bit of a drive, saving the $15,000 is worth it to me. I know a couple of people who have had surgeries done by him and have been extremely happy. I was very impressed by the whole staff yesterday and am looking forward to him being my surgeon. I agree with Andy Rooney (60 minutes). A doctor who needs to do so much promotion is suspect. tee

I do not wish to start a debate but think your response should be addressed - Have you had any unagreeable contact with Dr. Tersigni or his staff that will help the initial poster with their question? I don't think you should pass judgement until you have thoroughly researched his practice. This is a very difficult decision to make and, unless you have informed answers or can offer support, questions shouldn't be answered lightly or cryptically. I hope I didn't offend you but I'm not sure your answer was helpful to the poster. My opinion is my opinion. A doctor and his staff that continually barrage a site with gorilla marketing is suspect, not to mention annoying. thanks for sharing your opinion. tee

Hello, I had my RNY done by Dr. Steven Tersigni, and he and his staff our just WONDERFUL!! My first visit with Dr. Tersigni was very informational and helpful, he explained everything to me in terms that I could understand, he went over everything with me. In my opinion, I could of not found a better WLS doctor! Dr Tersigni has done lapband and RNY on some of my friends and they are just as pleased with him as I am. His staff are just as great as he is, Robin his nurse went over everything with me about the surgery and after and even gave me her home and cell number and said "call anytime" if I was concerned about something. They are always there when I need them and the WLS is the best thing that I have done for my self and my life, I would have Dr. Tersigni do my surgery again in a heart beat. I am 5 months 10 days out and have lost 70lbs, feel wonderful, am off some of my med's and working toward getting off the two that I have left to get off of. I still have back pain, but nothing like before surgery. My daughter is just waiting for insurance approval and she will have Dr. Tersigni do her RNY as well. I hope that this has helped. Chrisy

I had surgery 2 1/2 years ago and have since known 7 people who have gone and had surgery with him. They are wonderful to work with and I continue to go down to Coos Bay for my follow up. I did tons of resear*****luding the Oregon Medical board. I have recommended him and continue to recommend him and the staff. I have never seen any of thier advertiments but have expressed to them that living in the PTLD area when I checked on lap band 2 1/2 years ago it was $22,000 and to save $10,000 and drive three house made it possible for me to have surgery and I think its great that they have kept their prices affordable and they tell people about it. Because it as opened the door for so many that couldnt afford it. I have before and after photos on my profile and would be happy to answer any questions. I say - Go for it ! it will be the best thing you did, plus there are so many people from the ptld /VAC area that you could always car pool. I have a support group in McMinnville, not sure how far that is from you but you are welcome to come. Gail
