It is day 16 post Duodenal Switch surgery & life is good! I am feeling better every minute now. Still using some oxygen at night sleeping as I somehow drop in O2 saturation in deep sleep but that is so much better now also, that next wk. I will probably be done with it. I haven't had to take BP meds or ANY DIABETES MEDS since surgery and both are low normal numbers! Yay! I am getting up & down myself; not using walker except for long distances etc. Still weak stamina wise. Best of all I have lost 15# as of this a.m.!!! Never had any nausea, no dumping (none is expected with DS surgery), eating well and am so happy with my DS! Only downside was having to be open incision instead of laparascopically done or I'd be dancing by now!

Good for you!!!! I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well. Don't fret the weak stamina. That's absolutely normal. Keep up the good work! Joy

Way to go! Does everyone use a walker after surgery? I'm seeing more and more references to walkers cheryl
