All hoops jumped

I have completed everything I need to submit. Unfortunately I have to wait until May. Then I hope that the surgeon will be able to work with me and the schedule that I am working towards. I would like to have my surgery as soon as possible, but I need to have more vacation and sick time built up. This means that I will not be able to have surgery until July 1st. I am so excited but still a little scared that my insurance will not accept my request. I do have BCBSOR and they are a great company, but I guess I will just have some uncertainties. This is such a huge thing for me. My little sister is getting married in June and I wanted to have had my surgery already. Not going to happen...:0( Dre

grats on getting through all the hoops..now the biggest is the insurance..GL I have heard great things about BCSB also..I have UHC so can't give you any advice except for don't give up..even if you get a denial letter. I did and got more documentation together and it took 4 Fax's and the full 15 days to get my approval but I was happy non the less. I am scheduled to have surgery with dr Deveney on May 9th. I started this back in Oct of 2006 so it can take some time but don't give up its all worth it! Keep us posted and most of all be patient LOL Rebecca

I have not had any communication with BCBS lately. There hasn't been any need after I got my original questions answered about what they cover and exclusions. I will have more information in two weeks when OHSU sends my paperwork in. Hopefully all will go well, I receive good news quickly and I can start planning for my surgery! I can't wait for my life to start. I feel kind of stuck right now. Thank you all for your encouragement and support! Dre
