Lisa, Welcome home. Take it easy--make everyone else do the housekeeping and cooking! It will take 2 to 3 weeks to get that strength back. It took me about 4 weeks, but I am old!! Julia

Hi Lisa, Wonderful to hear that you had a smooth experience and that you are well. I look forward to hearing more once you have healed and rested a bit more. If there is anything you need (pre-made dinner, errands, etc) please let us know. I remember what it was like somewhat and was very thankful for the friends I made here (OH boards). Thanks everyone! I spent all of today dozing off, in a fog. I really couldn't ask for a better recovery, though. I was treated like a queen at OHSU-my room was very comfortable and the nurses were wonderful. Now that I'm home, I'm so glad to have a recliner, because lying down flat is very uncomfortable for me still. I got a little sick (hot and nauseated) when I overdid it on thinned-out mashed potatoes, but didn't throw up. It'll be a while before I really get the hang of taking small sips and bites! I'll post more later.
