Good luck to you!! Very exciting!! Were you able to get insurance to pay for even the TT? I'm hoping mine is medically necessary because I have a very painful hernia that needs to be repaired. We'll see... Enough about me though, good luck and speedy, painfree recovery! Chari

Uforntunately insurance refused to pay for the panny even though at the time of my consult I had a horrid rash--but then they refused to pay for the RNY too. Not much good I can say about Providence... Thanks for your support, Trisha

Pat, good luck on your surgery on the 13th! So you were not afraid when you had the RNY? I haven't been until tonight. One more day for me and I am starting to think what if...Just wanted to tell you good luck and thank you for your nice comments on my surgery page. Oh, and if you get afraid, just think about how hot you'll be!LOL Diane

Hi Pat. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I wish I were there but not quite time for that phase. I hope to go to Dr. Hansen too as I have heard she is the best. I wasn't sure she would do the Panni and the breast reduction and lift at the same time but good to know she does. It seems she does the face lifts too! I definitley need that, some due to weight loss but also age. Again good luck and congrats. I can't wait. Let me know how it goes. Julia

Julia, You are doing very well!!! You have lost well over 100 lbs in the past year. This year things will of course slow down. I'm STILL not at my goal weight, but continue to lose 1-4 lbs per month (mostly that 1 LOL) Dr Hansen is one of only 3 PS rated superior in the state of OR. I think she is absolutely the best. Of course I will have an even better opinion AFTER the 13th. She would have also done the arms, but we decided to do my surgeries in 2 phases. Phase 2 wil be the arms, inner thighs and lower face and neck lift. She will also be able to "correct" anything that doesn't settle properly from the first surgeries--another reason to do them in 2 stages. This paricular work I'm having done will put me on the table for about 8 hours--and really that is about all you want to put your body through at any given time. Don't worry, I'll be able to be on the boards a bit more after surgery for the first month so I'll keep you informed. Trisha

Thanks for the information Trisha. Eight hours is a long time to be under anesthetic but would be nice to have the TT and breast reduction done at the same time. I may have my face lift before the others as I probably can do that closer to when I am at goal than I would want to do the other two. I look forward to hearing how things go for you and again, good luck. I know what you mean about the weight loss slowing down. I think I lost a whole pound in March. I also wonder if I may have hit my first real plateau as I am now starting to lose a little more this last week. Time will tell! Julia

Oh, thank you Lori, but.....I just want to look and feel normal. By the end of this year after round 2 I finally will---at the age of 54. oh well, better later than never! You were brave enough to have the initial surgery....maybe you will feel differently down the line, but if you don't you will STILL be beautiful!! Again, thank you. Trisha
