My Wow Moment

Today I had a parent meeting after school in another teacher's classroom. She has the type of student desks where the chairs are attached to the desk and there is about 18-20 inches of clearance between the back of the chair and the edge of the desk top (my classroom has individual student tables with separate chairs). Now in the past I would squeeze myself into these desks and feel like I was stuck in the chairs barely able to breathe. And trying to get out of the desks without falling on the floor or pulling the desk up when I stood up was interesting as well. Anyway, I walked over to the desk and slid right into it with no problems. I even had about an inch of clearance between my stomach and the desk top. I can't even remember the last time that was possible. Even when I was in high school myself, there were certain types of desks that I didn't like to sit in because they were so uncomfortable and constraining. I was even able to cross my legs a bit under the desk and I have never been able to do that in all of my life. Jennifer

Jennifer, that is wonderful. I know what you mean. I have tried to sit in those desks at classes at the college before and was not nearly as big as I was just before surgery. Awesome. You are on your way for sure. Are you looking forward to spring break? Julia

Thanks Julia! I have 6 more classes to get through until spring break starts and I can't wait. Unfortunately, the long haul until the end of the year is a little over 1 week away. Jennifer
