Hi there I am scheduled for my surgery on March 28th. I'm working on getting all the vitamins and protein that I will need for after surgery. Can anyone reccomend a good vanilla protein powder that fits all the criteria? Thank You

Lyndie, Chewable vitamins are a must (Flinstones complete works for me rofl) and vanilla protein from Unjury is good and there is also Vanilla Cinnamon which is good for Chai and stuff from IDS. Good luck! Michele

Thank you so much for the reply. Today I bought Flintsone chewables. I am glad you mentioned them because I have a problem with vitamins and getting an upset tummy. Thanks again Lyndie

Lyndie, I agree with the Flintstone vits and the unjury protein. My Surgeon recommended the Flintstones and I have always like Unjury protein the best. They have Chocolate, Vanilla and unflavored. They also have just come out with a chicken broth with good amt. of protein in it. Check out their site. unjury.com I just saw my surgeon yesterday for my close to one year anniversary and my lab work is all very good. Julia

Hi Lyndie, I have tried many protein drinks like most people on here and I've found the most healthful and tasty one to be Natural Whey Gold Standard, you can find it at www.Optimalnutrition.com and also at GNC. There isn't any sulcrose (splenda) aspartame or acesulfame K like there is in Unjury or Syntrax Matrix. The sugar used is Stevia which is completely natural and noncancerous which is pretty important to me when choosing something that I'm going to consume! :) Good Luck----Katherine

I have been 'eating' EAS Vanilla from Costco. I am pre-surgery at this point but I thought that I would get myself use to it before hand. My nuritionalist encouraged me to try it and I am glad she did. A 75 serving bag is $25. Good luck with your sugery! dre_1974
