WOW!! Good luck to you Gwen. I know everything will go perfectly. Let us on the board know how you're doing. And, by the way, you gave me hope that this thing might go faster. I think I'll call the clinic today....just to see if they got my app.

Thanks! I'll be in touch when I get home tomorrow... definitely call the clinic, hopefully things will go as smoothly for you too! I was surprised at how well the approval process went for me. Many aren't so fortunate, but it does seem to be getting better than it used to be with insurance companies. It will be good to be on the loser's bench soon! :-) gwen

Nola, I started the process in November, and it is March, and I just had what I think is my last "test". Many of my tests ended up being a little complicated. First, the cardiologist had to have me come back for further testing, and then last week I did the sleep apnea test, and guess what? I have sleep apnea and will have to go in for another overnighter there so that I can be "fitted" for the oxygen unit. SO, now I am just waiting to hear from OHSU to let me know when my appointment with the doctor will be. Hopefully, when I get in there, I will not have any more delays, but I have found out that I have lipedema in my legs, and I don't know if that will cause one. So, I am imagining that my surgery will be sometime in April. I should be out of surgery just in time to go to the Taylor HIcks concert - I already got the tickets!!!
