I'm Back!!!
Hey Everyone
Well, I have been a little busy these past 4 days & this is the first time I've really been able to post since coming home from the hospital.
My sis from Redmond came over to stay with me on Friday & she just left for home about an hour ago. I am adopted (we share the same Dad), so we've only known each for about 4 1/2 years. There is just never enough time!! We had a great visit, went on several walks up & down my street & had several long talks. She was very afraid of WLS, as she knows someone who died.
I've had friends from work stop by with food for Ole
My cat is just amazing me with the attention she has been giving me
I'm not taking my pain meds anymore & previously, I rarely took them. I haven't had much pain at all, just mild discomfort once in a while. Sometimes I don't feel like I even had surgery!
I love the restriction I have with my band at the moment....I know it is mostly due to swelling after surgery, but I will take what I can get & appreciated it!!!
I did have a slight temp on Friday & wake up feeling nauseas & really tight. Dr Umbach told me to get right in to his office, since it has been so soon after surgery & so close to the weekend. He said everything is healing just fine!
I then later, I realized after dinner that night, I was forgetting to: NOT DRINK WITH MY MEALS!!! Everything is much better now!!
NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU READ ABOUT IT, HEAR ABOUT IT, LECTURE SOMEONE ELSE ABOUT IT.......YOU NEVER LEARN TIL YOU EXPERIENCE IT YOURSELF!!!
Now I have time to get back to reading, posting & learning to eat all over again. Hubby is out mowing the lawn & later we will be heading to Wal-Mart to purchase some supplies & WALK
Jackie
Hi Jackie,
I am so glad you are doing well. I bet that was scary with the fever but I am sure glad you called Dr. Umbach and got checked out. Good girl!!! I just came in from playing tennis with my boys and now I am poopied. Teenagers!! Who knew that they had so much energy!!!
Take care, swettie. So glad to hear from you!
p.s. my son is going to have the LapBand too. He is going to read your profile later today.
Jackie,
I am so glad to hear that things are going well for you so far. Too bad to hear about the fever scare but at least it was nothing. I am very thankful for the attentiveness of the staff down here in Eugene.
I am glad that you have support from your family, it has really helped me a lot. I dont know what I would have done without them (in fact I probably wouldnt have had surgery!)
I hope that things continue to go well.
Best wishes...
Tara
