Sleep Study evaluation

Hi everyone! I am recovering from a bout of bronchial pneumonia. I have been home from work for a week and I will be returning to work tomorrow. I am actually looking forward to going back. I am going this week for an evaluation with a sleep disorder doctor in Salem, and then if he thinks I meet the criteria then I have the study itself. My question is this, can anyone tell me what the study entails? I am curious. Legacy Obseity Center asked me to have it down here so that I wouldn't have to go all the way to Portland. Sheryl

Each place that does it does it a bit differently. Basically you get wired up (they put electrodes and sensors all over your body) and then you are expected to sleep... Actually I fell asleep rather quickly as did my husband when he did his. They watch you on camera and listen to you sleep, too. It sounds scary but it isn't. Lori
