Newbie Alert!!
Hi all... My name is Nola. I went to my seminar on the 5th and sent in my application. I'm so excited!! I discovered Obesity Help on Tues. and believe it or not, just discovered that I could talk to people in my own area who have gone through WLS (not exactly computer savvy). Anyway, just wanted to let you know I'm lurking 8-)
Welcome Nola! I love your name.
Dr. Hong was my surgeon. I just love him, and trust him completely.
I'm sure you will find this site as helpful as I have. We all are in the same boat...some of us pre-op, some of us post-op. It is most supportive to be able to turn to folks that have been in the same shoes. Ask any questions about any aspect of WLS - some one will probably have some experience regarding the subject or at least an opinion.
Again, welcome!
Patty
Hi Nola, welcome to our group,I'm new also. I went to my seminar in Jan and i'm going to Legacy in Portland for my surgery and my pre-op appts. You say your not computer savy, nor am I, but at least you were able to get your picture up. I still need someone to get on the phone with me and walk me thru the steps on my pc so I can get my face on here. So your doing good, and taking the steps to get your surgery ,have you decided which one you'd like to have yet? This group is great and if you have any questions they all help answer them ,and its great to have their support. Jo Ann
Welcome Nola
I just had my surgery (LapBand) 4 days ago. You will find people from all over Oregon here & in all stages of pre-surgery, post surgery & beyond. No questions are too stupid or personal here....if you have a concern, post it & you will get some answers!
If you are undecided on which surgery to do, this site is a great place to help you. Just by reading the stories on day to day life, it will help you to decide on what will be best for you!
Good luck & keep in touch
Jackie
Hi Nola, Welcome! Dr Jay Jan, up at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, is my dr.
