Trouble with Protein Powder

Hi, I'm 1.5 weeks post-op and I totally understand. I have tried many protein powders and I can smell every one of them. I found Isopure at GNC and it works great. I buy the drinks- fruit punch, green apple, melon, blue-raspberry and my favorite is grape. They are clear and taste like Koolaid. One bottle is 20 ounces and has 40-45 grams of protein in it. I just sip on it all day long. They are a little spendy though at $3 each but to me they are worth it. Good luck, Kate

OK this really sounds like something I would like. I will be going out and about for some new protein drinks tomorrow. And I like that I can try it in a bottle that costs $3 instead of the bags and jugs of stuff I have now. Thanks

I just went to GNC this evening....If you don't know where one is I googled and found one near me and they were very helpfull. I am trying isopure tomorrow.....I can let you know how it tastes if you would like....it looks like kool aid which is a huge improvement on the shake thing that I am so sick of.

Debra, I am not a fan of the aftertaste of the protein either. I have found that if you like Mocha coffees, put your chocolate mix into decaf coffee. YUMMO. I also put my vanilla in my hot decaf tea, makes it rich and creamy. That is the only way I drink my proteins now. Hope this helps. Lisa 254/213.5/150

Hey, I get my protien suppliments from GNC (General Nutrition Center). I live in Salem and there is one in Lancaster Mall but I'm not sure where the others are- they're pretty common though. Good luck

Wellements is the best! It comes in Bavarian Chocolate and my fav, vanilla. It smells and tastes good. I mix it with plain ole' milk (and sometime chocolate milk) Yum! I have also made many smoothies with it for myself and my children. This is the brand that everyone raved about that Costco used to carry but they don't seem to anymore. I bought my bag in Novemeber for $24.99 and still have lots left. The website is http://www.wellements.com/ Let me know how you like it. Kristine Surgery 12/13/06 (down 48lbs)

I heard that Costco had a great product but all I saw when I went there was EAS and I had tried it in the past and it was so-so. Thanks for the link I am willing to try anything to get more protein in at this point...

Hi, I get vanillia from GNC, I take the SF syrups of different flavors and mix in and they are yummie, dont get that after taste, in the syrups I get almond roca, strawberry, hazelnut, irish cream and of course vanillia. I also get from GNC chocolate, orange cicle, and unflavored protein powder. Sometimes I will though in a couple of strawberries or a small banana and other times I might even put in my vanillia protein powder some SF peanutbutter.
