It's official..I'm ENGAGED!!

Just wanted to share with you all that I became "officially" engaged this past Thursday evening. Beautiful dinner and georgeous ring. David & I have been dating for the past couple of years. This is huge, especially since he has been single for the past 26 years......I'm a very fortunate lady. God has blessed me beyond belief. Darla

Oh Darla!! I'm so happy for you! Isn't it amazing what happens when you're not looking? I met a fella here on OH. He lives in Alaska and will be coming to visit soon. I haven't been this happy in years, and I haven't even had my surgery yet! Life is definitely good. Congratulations to you again! Linda

A sincere thank you is sent your way Linda. This has been the most special relationship between David and I. It's funny, he was so opposed to this surgery and kept telling me he loves me for what's inside more than anything else. After we "myself and my doctors" were able to convince David that this was a matter of life or death for me (within the next 5 years) he bit the bullet and sat on a very nervous chair while I underwent this procedure. He is amazed at how much my health has improved and he is losing weight and feeling better too just with the way I have changed my cooking. This surgery is helping us to both get healthier and I would be lying if I didn't say I LOVE THE WEIGHT LOSS PART TOO I remember you sharing your news about the gentleman you have met in Alaska at Kim's a couple weeks back. You were absolutely glowing! I'm so happy to hear you are as happy as you are. You and I, well let's just say we are two very fortunate ladies indeed. Darla

Thank you Julia. I have been single for 6 years now and dated quite a bit. It is mighty slim pickins out there for a good man, from my experience anyway. David and I are always joking....he says he found me I didn't find him. Actually, he did find me...I wasn't looking at all. It seems to happen to us when we least expect it. Darla
