Hey Eugene/Springfield OHers, Anyone interested in bowling on a league. The summer league starts at Timber Bowl in Springfield mid-May and runs 12 weeks. It runs $8 to $9 per week and would be great fun. So, who is interested? I think we need about 6 or 8 per team but we could have multiple teams.

How much longer are you in school? This doesn't start until mid-May. Take some accelerated courses. lol

Alan starts grad school this year and that starts as soon as spring term is over in June and goes all summer. I am trying to be able to transfer in September so I am gonna have to take summer classes also... .I so wish we could join you guys.. it would be such a great time. I bowled on a Reno league at Timber a long time ago and that was so much fun (except our secretary ended up embezzling all of our money )! Are you a good bowler? what is your average? Tara

Oh my goodness, you guys will be busy no doubt. Maybe another time though you guys could join. I am not a great bowler but when I did bowl on a league many years ago and 100+ pounds lighter ago my average was about 120ish. That is terrible that your money was stolen. Wow! That takes some Bal*s!!

I have not been on the board in some time. I already bowl in a league at Emerald Lanes and have been bowling since late last Summer. (Tonight will be my last night on league since surgery...can't wait) We have talked about taking the Summer off but I'll ask David again and see how he feels about it. He was once a professional bowler and on this league, he has bowled two 300 games....it's a sream to watch and I can't contain myself when it happens. He averages about 250 or so and me, well, let's just say I'm his newest student.... (I'm averaging in the 120's - 130's which is a far cry from the 98 I started out bowling) David has patients of steel and helps everyone around us when we are bowling on league. Whatever happens, I can assure you that the Bowling is a great form of exercise and if you need to get on a team, just contact the bowling center and let them know you are not teamed up with anyone and they will attempt to get you the "hook up". That's what we did this time and we have made some wonderful friends as a result. The team is only 4 people to complete our team so I'm not sure about 6 or 8 per team???
