FYI - Eugene Support Group through Oregon Bariatrics

Guys, There was some speculation that the rules had changed regarding the OBC support group being open to everyone. I called today to double check and it turns out that only the patients of Oregon Bariatrics are accepted at this support group. This also, of course, includes support people of these patients. Sorry to disappoint those who were under the impression that everyone was welcome but I wanted to let everyone know what the outcome of that call was.

Hey Kim, Sorry you didn't know.......I had asked several months ago, because I have a friend here at work who's hubby had to go to Portland because of Medicare. I was told the group was for Oregon Bariatric Center patients only.......due to limited staff & space at this time. They were hopeful that in time, the group could be opened up for anyone who has had bariatric surgery. Jackie

Jackie Doesn't your neck hurt from all that tilting, every time you wave? Nancy Ps i met a nice lady (can't remember her name) who's having surgery on your day. She has 4 kids and her husband has a great sense of humer.

Hi Jackie, I did know ... I was just posting for some folks that were asking last weekend at the get together we had. I am a patient of OBC too.

Do you know how I can get in touch with Dr. Latham Flanagan? There seems to be trouble with the phone number of 1 541 687- 1445. I had surgery 7 years ago and have gained 30 lbs. I need to see him!

Hi Donna, Unfortunately, Dr. Flanagan retired. I "think" Oregon Bariatrics is taking his patients, but I am not sure. Their number is 541-335-2700. Good luck to you.
