Had my 2nd sleep study last night with the CPAP machine, and it wasn't too bad. I didn't sleep all night, but never felt like I needed to ask for any sleep aid. They DO put all the wires back on you, and that is what caused me to not sleep, not the CPAP machine. It actually wasn't that bad. I have never been able to sleep on my back, and spent 80% of the night last night on my back. It took me maybe 15 minutes to get used to breathing with it on, and also had a fun time opening my mouth to hear "devil's spawn"!! LOL!!! So that step is done. Onward and upward!! Bil

LOL - at our gathering on Saturday, Bil, we were taking bets that you were dying to try that out! I have to see Dr. Tearse on Thursday. If my apnea is mild, I may go with one of those new mandibular splints instead of the cpap. We'll see! Linda

Bill I was never able to sleep on my bac****i I started using the cpap. I found that it was easier to control my breathing on my back, and the mask stays sealed better. Hope you get use to it quickly. Don't do the spawn thing when the kids are around or you are may scare then half to death. Randy

Randy, My kids and grandkids like the noise when talking with the C-PAP. They think it sounds like Darth Vadar! Julia

Seriously, that Devi's spwan thing is really funny. Just last night, I awoke to my little one (3 years old) cry out in his room. I forgot I had the mask on and yelled out "come to mommy's room." It sounded like a horror movie. He said "what Mom?" I tried one more time before deciding to take my mask off. It makes me laugh.

Bil, Grats! OMG, that is hilarious! I never thought of it that way, but that is exactly what I sound like with mine on hehehe! You do learn to talk more clearly after a few months lol... at least now I don't terrify my cats and make my husband roll with laughter. Michele
