Surgery Date!!! Yipee!!!!:

Hi Oregonians! I am pleased to announce that I have a surgery date. March 7th at OHSU! I am excited and scared at the same time. I hope it doesn't get delayed, I have had a bug for a few weeks now, took a course of antibiotics, I feel alot better, but have a lingering cough. I go in for my pre-op appointment on the 24th so we will see what they say. I haven't been too faithful on the pre-op diet of 1200 cals. cause I have been so sick. I will try harder this week to be faithful until my appointment. I guess I have waited so long for this news that I am afraid something will postpone it. I want to get it over with, cause I am afraid of the surgery itself. I know it will be worth it, cause I have so much to look forward to on the losing side, I just can't wait to get there. I will post again after my appointment on the 24th to let you all know what's happening, Thanks for your thoughts and support! Christina in Lebanon

Hey Christina, I also have a surgery date of March 7, in Eugene. I was previously scheduled for February 14th, but I also had a lingering cough. I went in for a anti-biotic & also found a rash...so postponed til the 7th. My pre-op again will be on 27th. I have been on the Carnation Instant Brkfst shakes & food bars since Jan 1. I have also been eating a regular, but low cal dinner...trying to keep it under 1250 calories. I lost the 15 lbs required, but since the postponment, I haven't been real strict with my eating. Good for you Christina, have the shakes started yet. Thats about the way I would be. All of these surgerys coming at the same time you'll all have things to compare. Wishing you the best out come. Jo Ann

Christina, Congrats! I went thru OHSU as well, on 1/2/07, and I am glad every day, even with some of the not as pleasant stuff that is part of post-surgical life. Which doc are you seeing? Good luck! Michele
