Well I got the results back from Upper GI ...
Guess it is back to the hospital for me next week. I do have a stricture or narrowing anyway. The barium liquid ran straight thru so fast that the rad tech could not tell anything, couldn't see what the measurement of the stoma was or anything. So, he had me swallow a barium tablet and that stopped up the stoma and then wouldn't let the liquid barium thru no longer. So that was able to tell the radiologist that I did have a narrowing at least and so Dr. Gorrin called shortly after it was completed to give me the results.
He is trying to get in touch with the gastroenterologist now (of course he is in surgery doing scopes now and so Dr. Gorrin is waiting until he is done with the scopes for the day) but I think it will be Monday or Tuesday that I get it done. He asked if I was okay to go thru the weekend (he is such a nice man, I tell ya!) and I told him that I would be fine on my soft foods and water but that if I started vomiting, then I would give him a shout over the weekend to get it done more emergently.
I will keep everyone posted as to how it goes next week.
Oh, I even had a little Wow Moment too at the x-ray place. (Can you imagine??!!) They call me back to the changing room, put me in a dressing room, and the gal hands me what I thought was just a pair of pants. I remember her saying to take the bra off too, so I'm like, ok where is the top. I look thu the clothes again and yep there is a top there too and I look at it ... there is no way this is gonna fit, 2X, not gonna happen. Well, low and behold, it did fit, a bit tight but I got the pants and top on and I was proud of myself. I am down 66 pounds as of this morning!!
