Surgery Postponed...
Hey everyone,
I had my post-op appointment today & Dr Umbach found a rash. He also didn't like the fact that I had fluid in my lungs & was on an anti-biotic.
Too many chances to take, surgery has to be postponed.
I thought I was going to die!
To come so close...it was like a punch in the gut.
My new date is now March 7. Another 3 weeks to wait.

Lori,
Yes, after my shock & disappointment settled down a bit, I did have to realize that even though all plans have been set (time off approved for my job & Ole's, etc.), it was in my best interest to wait.
Dr U even hung out while Kathy & I worked out the details for moving the date. I guess if he didn't care...he would have walked away to his next patient...who was waiting.
Jackie
Thanks Kim,
You are so right....it just took me several hours of having a Pitty Party
talking to Ole & my sis-in-law Kat, & reading all the replies to my post from you wonderful friends out there....to get back on track.
I plan on still losing as much weight as I can pre-op, even though he asked for 10-15 & as of yesterday, I had lost 15.3 lbs.
I haven't been able to work out at the pool, do to my yucky cold & congestion. I have been trying to work out by walking the halls of our building on my breaks, but I begin to have a coughing fit after 10 minutes. So, all the loss has been do to drinking the shakes & basically keeping the calories down to 1200.
