Jennifer and Darla, How is your week two going? I know Darla is out driving already and had her staples out. How about you Jennifer--staples gone yet? Has your Mom taught you to quilt in this short time? Hope everything is going o.k. with you and with Darla. I do hope to see you guys on the 17th however I won't be there until about 2:30, so don't know if anyone will be left. I may call Kim before I come over. I do have a nice long black coat that is a size 22 and would love to see if anyone could wear it. Julia

Hopefully we will still be hanging out. If you need to call me, call my cell. It should be on the phone # and email list that was sent out. If you don't have it, PM me and I'll give it to ya. I would love to try on the jacket, I am between a 22 and 24 on top.

Hi Julia, I'm doing very well thank you. Steri-strips are starting to "peel" and I can take them off this Friday.... I have been working on food items and have experienced the nausea from potatoes and I think also from getting a little too full on 4 oz of food..it hurt and took about an hour to calm down last night. I'm such a new born pup at this and have much more to learn. I'm thankful to have a little time off while getting my feet wet dabbling in new foods. It's great fun though to see myself shrinking in my clothes and to know that this is only a beginning. I go back to my surgeon on 3/30/06 for my 2nd follow up visit. Do you know if they do blood work at about 3 months? Darla P.S. I plan to be at Kim's on the 17th too. I have a few items, since I just did a major clean out of my closet 2 days ago. They are sizes 18-20 and mostly more on the dressy side. My mom had dibs on most of my clothes, which I promised to her prior to going through this weight loss journey, but some items are too dressy for her lifestyle so I'm not even going to show them to her. I hope someone can use them. I'm not sure how long I'll be there either but time did have a way of passing very quickly last time we all got together.

Hi Darla, Seems like 4 ounces is quite a bit. I can do that sometimes now but mostly it is around 3 ounces I can do. Depends on the food. I remember that mashed potatoes was what I looked forward to eating when I got to that stage! Funny how good they were and I didn't really eat them much before. I think I did have blood work at 3 months but cannot remember for sure. I know I did at 6 months. I would love to see the clothes as I am at 18 to 20's right now. Hope to see you there, but know it would be a long day for ya. Julia

Hi Julia, I had my post op appointment today and officially I am down 30 lbs (15 post op). Staples came out and things look really good. I am finally behind the wheel of my car again and today I finally got to eat food that I could chew. I finding that I can usually eat anywhere between 4 and 8 oz depending on how hungry I am and what I am eating. I haven't had any problems so far and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things will continue to go smoothly. Jennifer
