Kelly, how are you and your daughter???
Kim I was just posting a thank you to all of you guys and bumped off to see If she would qualify for WLS came back to see your post .
She is not doing so great. The medication that she is on is horrible with its side affects and it does not seem to be working like it should. they keep doubling her dose of the medication in an attempt to decrease the pressure whi*****reases the side affects but so far hasn't really decreased the symptoms. I have gotten more information from all of the people on this site than from the DR's
We saw the neurologist and she said yes she does have a the cerebral pseudo tumor or also know as intercranial hypertension. they will try to control it with meds that are horrible and she needs to loose weight. She has a 80 % chance that the weight loss will stop the problem.
one day at a time.
I have not even begun to prepare for surgery. its less than 2 weeks away. My mother in law came over this weekend was suppose to be for just Friday night we went to Seattle with her to drop my brother in law and they she was going home on Sunday guess she decided to stay longer and was here for dinner tonight so I just haven't had much time between Jen and Her. I will try to focus on me for a while now that she is gone.
I want to let all of you guys know how much I appreciated all your wonderful kind encouraging words. I really needed them this week. I didn't have a lot of time to sit down and post but I would sit down and read often and it was great. THANK YOU!!!
well its almost 11 and I have so much to do at work to prepare to be gone. Better get some sleep
Kelly
Kelly - that would be great if your daughter qualified for surgery and could get it covered by insurance. I would think her condition would definitely be a co-morbidity. The poor thing. I know what you mean, sometimes the supposed cure is worse in side affects than the actual problem. Sending prayers for the both of you!
