Finally got my doc's letter and records today
Geez! The transcriptionist has been out for a bit and it has just about been killing me to wait for my letter and records. My doc's office finally called this morning and I ran over and picked everything up and just faxed it to OHSU. Hopefully, they'll evaluate it and call me within the next week or so. I am so anxious to get this show on the road. I was cringing, wondering what my doc really thought of me, and he basically says I'm a good kid with a weight problem and co-morbidities, and he supports my decision to have WLS! Ah, now I can relax and have a good weekend. I'm so relieved!

LOL - thanks all. I was beginning to think I would have to go over to my doctor's office, rip that tape from the transcriptionist's hands, and type the dang letter myself! In the end, it really wasn't that long and my doc wrote such a nice letter. I was so nervous before I read it -- I kept thinking, "what if he thinks I'm a total nut?" Anyway, it turned out fine. I hope to hear from OHSU next week. I just hope they have all they need to make my appointment, otherwise, I'll run around as much as I need to to make sure they get it all.
