Hi Randy, Well, thank you very much. I just looked at your profile and you mentioned your age. My mom is hoping to have surgery too, although her computer skills lack....lol so she doesn't get on this website or any website for that matter. She is waiting for Eugene, Oregon to become a center of excellence so medicare will cover her surgery. She is 66 and calls me every day with anxiety from wanting this surgery so badly. Best wishes to you that you will reach a date very soon. Darla

Hi Darla, so glad to hear your doing so well, I was going to have my surgery here in Eugene also, and like your mom was waiting for the medicare thing to go thru. Then I decided to go to Portland because I didn't want to wait that long for Eugene to get set up. I have to tell you though ,I was not very impressed by the testimonies that were given about the Doctors up there on bedside manners ,and never seeing them after sugery and waiting sometimes up to 3 hrs, to get into an appt. It makes you feel once they have your money and you have the surgery your relationship with them is over, and your left with who ever happens to be arround in your time of need. How has your Doc, relationship been going? Jo Ann

Hi Jo Ann, Thank you for the reply. I cannot complain about my surgeon or the staff at the Oregon Bariatric Center for that matter. I have been treated very well. Certainly they are a professional business but whenever I have a question and call, they are right on it to help me in any way they can. Don't think you can get better than that. My mom is very anxious but trying to wait it out so she can have it done here. She has been to some appts with me and was extremely impressed with this Eugene group of doctors. Today she called the office and was told the Center of Excellence could happen anywhere from 2 months to the end of this Summer. I wish you the very best in your journey toward WLS. Darla
