Thanks to everyone that responded about my reaching onderland. I know you are right about waiting a few days to weigh again but don't know if I can help myself!! I am working on cutting carbs more than ever to keep this weight loss going. I don't know that I eat a lot but am going to take a closer look at what I do eat as my weight loss has definitley slowed down. Julia

Julia- Being 10 months out now, I know what you're saying about weight loss slowing down. I, too, am working on cutting carbs, because breads are my weakness and I've been able to eat more breads lately without any adverse affects... So now I must use self-control to make this work long term. It is very scary when the WLS "Tool" stops working. I started to feel invincible, like I'd lose weight no matter what I did... but reality is starting to set in. I've been staying at 164/165 for almost 2 months now, I got as low as 163, but 2 lbs. have crawled on when I wasn't looking. I didn't go through all this for nothing. I REFUSE TO GO BACK! We will have to keep each other strong. Rebecca

Rebecca, It is scary and hopefully scary enough to keeps us on track. I still have about 59 pounds to go, and I will make it!! Hope to meet you at the get-togethers in Eugene. My husband grew up in Roseburg and I came from Glendale, south of Roseburg. Maybe I know your parents or know of them. Julia

You will be there soon Chrisy. It will be so fun for you. I went out and bought a new pair of PJ's and a blouse at Macy today. Hang in there, something I read once said it is not a true plateau until you have not lost for a month. I think that is what I read. Sounds like that is a long time for me! One week without losing something is too much for me! Julia

Hi Julia, Being so new at this, it's hard to know about the slow down in weight loss. May I please ask how much exercise you do on a regular basis in order to keep that girlish figure you have going on now? I'm always tryng to think ahead and mentally prepare. Arthritis is my weakness and I'm going to do everything in my power to not let it get the best of me; I so want to be thin again and feel that wonderous feeling. Breathing comfortably, using the restroom comfortably (I won't go in to the details but I'll give you a hint; Artritis), feeling the desire to want to take the time to look my best, I miss it all. I am determined to win the battle of obesity in every aspect. I made a committment to Kim G. earlier that I would like to join in on the water aerobics when it's safe for me to do so (at least one time a week) so that's one step in the right direction. I keep getting these deep side aches, remembering surgery was just this past Wednesday, so I need to give my body a chance to heal enough to start the work outs without hurting myself. Enough about me.....I want to say to you, YOU are an inspiration to me and I thank you for sharing your experience the way you do. Keep up the great work and know that even though the weight loss slows down, a single pound can give the look of losing 5 pounds once did. You are getting little lady so stand tall and be proud and remember to NEVER GIVE UP! I know you won't. Darla

Darla, I started Curves 2 months out and could be a little more into it. I go 2 to 3 times a week and should go more. I have bad knees and had to modify my routine and that is working fine now. I also have a recumbant exercise bike at home. I really haven't worked at exercise as hard as I should have and see now that that will be improtant in continuing to lose, getting to goal and staying there. Thank you for saying that I am an inspiration and hope to continue doing well and inspiring others. I never thought about being able to inspire anyone!!! I will never give up, not this time. My life depends on it! Julia

Hi, guys! I am a newer member of this wild site, and still haven't figured out all the lingo to keep up with you gals. What is "onederland?" Where is "twoterville?" Help! Thanks! Jana

Jana, Congrats on your surgery. How are you doing? Onederland means you are weighing under 200 (in the 100's) and twoterville is under 300 (in the 200's). Julia
