Julia, Excitment is too small of a word for what I am feeling! Total relief that I don't have to make any more decisions for a while.......except to eat right & stick to the shakes. But, now that I have an achievable goal to work towards.....wow, I just can't put my feelings into words this morning..... I think that covers it for now......LOL Jackie

I'm just so happy since I spoke with him on Thursday, I could just bust!! How are you doing, now that you are out???? Jackie, CONGRATULATIONS, CONGRATULATIONS, and CONGRATULATIONS again. I'm sincerely happy for you!!! I think being the first one in for the day is great so you can be more alert when you have visitors. I felt so rude that I was so out of it when many came to see me. I was the last one for the day and it was at 12:40 PM. I'm not complaining but I do think earlier is best or social reasons. What a Valentines gift!! Darla, You & anyone else who is in the hospital for major surgery, is not being RUDE by getting sleepy. GEESH, we all fully understand!!!! Especially since they gave you too many meds! Hi again, Ole' no blushing. Stand tall Mr. Man....you are an awesome partner to support Jackie this way; she's going to need your support since you are so close with her. My sweetheart was there for me as much as possible (fairly new on his job but got to hospital for surgery and awoke me with a kiss on my cheek each day and told me he loves me) It matters so much when you love someone that dearly that they are there for you. He is here with me today and tomorrow too. I'll be glad when he gets an opportunity to meet all of you...you guys are some of the finest people I have met..I mean that to all the people on this site including Jackie and Ole. I am doing good. It's 4 days post op and sure there is some discomfort but not too bad considering major surgery. Only 3 pain meds total since getting home....I have been told I have a high tollerence for pain though. I just hate meds and try to get away from them as much as I can so just call me stubborn ha! Went for my first walk today and close to getting all my water in today....amazing. It was great getting outside feels like I've been hybernating way too long. Yesterday I couldn't even get half my water in. I just keep sipping and trying and it's getting better already. I have never been one to sleep much so probably not napping like I should? I only sleep at night but not out and about too much either. So, I'm taking care of myself the best way I know how...listening to my body and stopping when the deep side ache starts....(found out from someone else that's from all the work they do through that particular incision and I thought it was the tummy itself...go figure) Have fun at the motorcycle event.....David has been shopping for a Harley for a good while now but the deal has to be a good one so one day you will be able to call me a motorcycle mama too
