Hello all, I just thought it would be nice to hear from everyone who is waiting to hear back about being approved or not. I have been waiting since the beginning of the year and I really thought a letter would be in my mail box today LOL. Probable wishful thinking :D I don't see how it could be a hard decision. You look at my papers, at the req's and you send me an approval! I'm tired of waiting! It is very stressful! Alright thats all I'm going to say about this..Hope I"m not alone in this Rebecca ~ Beaverton

Rebecca I was told that if my letter didn't come with in a week I should call them and bug them. I didn't have to but I for sure would have been on the phone. I got my approval within a week. If they have paid for all the test you would think that they would approve your surgery. Well, Good luck I hope it comes soon but I for sure bug the insurance company and find out what is happening. Good Luck Lori

I have been waiting since January 9th. I called and I bugged and I was told not to expect it for 30 business days. So I am practicing patience... I need to keep practicing because it's not working

Yes, it's torture, isn't it? I'm waiting too. I finally (last week) got EVERYTHING I needed in to the surgeon's office (5% weight loss, labs, tests, etc.) so it hasn't quite been submitted to insurance yet. I feel like I'm dying waiting. I can barely think about anything else... Marie

Hi, I was told by OSHU staff, it usally takes about 30 days. I was told it depends on your Ins- someone told me it is not unheard of for some Ins to take up to 2 months thou. I hope not I"ve been wating since Jan 10, it seems like it been months. Keep hanging on, Lord knows its hard work.
